With last season’s World Series ending in a 4-0 sweep by the
Giants, Tiger’s fans were left with another case of “close but no cigar.” The
2013 season shows promise for the Tigers to complete this season with a World Series championship, after
getting so close last year and in 2011’s ALCS loss to the Rangers.
The signing of Torii Hunter brings a great addition to both
the outfield and the batting order. Jim Leyland’s closer by committee approach
is interesting, but if it works, it could bring the Tigers that much closer to
the playoffs and World Series once again.
Catch the Tiger’s season opener this afternoon at 4:10 vs. the Minnesota Twins. It will be the beginnings of an interesting season. Comment and let us know your thoughts on the 2013 season!
